The redesign of the library of engineering professions at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences is based on the technical occupations with its formal language, choice of colours and materials. In addition to the new conception of lighting and the improvement of room acoustics, the walking paths, visual axes and zoning in the room were adapted. Along with the new designed furniture, an exhibition was integrated in the entrance for the presentation of historical specialist literature. The height-adjustable counter offers various lending and consultation areas and can now be adapted to each employee.
