When redesigning the library of the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (design course), care was taken to approach the aesthetics of the building built in 1926 and the formal language and materiality of the furniture (protected as a historic monument) while consciously creating contrasts. In addition to the new conception of lighting and the improvement of room acoustics, the walkways, visual axes and zonings were adapted. The height-adjustable counter can now be flexibly adapted to each employee.
