The exhibition „Orange im U“ was made up of loans from citizens of the region. The only criterion: the objects had to have the colour orange and were accompanied by a short, personal story. The exhibition was designed in such way that it was able to occupy 150 to 500 m2 of exhibition space with 3 different modular versions. The entire exhibition modules could be nested into each other and reduced to a volume of 16 m3. The collection of objects took three months and was continued during the six-month exhibition period. The exhibition was constantly changing and visitors came several times (a total of 30,000 visits). The stories of the objects were conveyed daily through multiple, temporally flexible guided tours. Visitors were able to join the tours and were guided through the exhibition by other visitors. Thus the exhibition developed a strong dynamic and lived from the communication between the visitors.
